This 48-week Bible reading plan goes through the entire Bible in 2017, in six days a week from January 2nd through December 2nd, so that it is completed before the busy holiday season hits. Each day of the week follows its own type of reading, so that there is variety every week. Psalms are sprinkled throughout the year. Sundays are reserved for reflection on the past week’s readings, sharing favorite verses from the week with accountability partners, or catching up as necessary. During December, just a verse or two is revisited each day.

On Sundays no reading is assigned, so you can use that day to catch up or reflect, pray, ponder and connect with other readers to share favorite passages or insights from the week. Ask a friend or two to read along with you in 2017 so you can keep each other accountable to finish! A weekly planned check-in can help to achieve your goal.

The read-through of the entire Bible ends already on December 2nd, before the busy end-of-year holiday time arrives. Readings from December 3rd onwards are optional meditation verses, which are duplicate passages from earlier in the year.
